Maid of Honor: Chloe Clark
Chloe has been a long time friend of mine…as in 17 years long! We met way back in the first grade and have been friends ever since. Chloe and I have been through thick and thin, surviving middle school, high school, and even the college years as best friends. She has always been an important part of my life and our friendship is something I am truly grateful for. There is no one I would rather have beside me as my maid on honor on my wedding day than my mumsie, Chloe.
Best Man: Thomas Kenney
The eldest sibling (and most responsible of the four), Tommy has always been the brightest of ‘em all. A dominant force in Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy, Josh’s only hope of defeating his older in intellectual board games is by teaming up with Jarrod in Monopoly (i.e. selling Boardwalk and Park Place for $1 and a beer). At times, Josh and Tommy’s extremely opinionated personalities can lead to heated arguments (sometimes on the Champs-Elysees in Paris), but they always find themselves laughing about it 10 minutes later (on occasion, over a beer at Planet Hollywood near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris). Tommy is an extremely successful entrepreneur who owns his own consulting company. With two wonderful daughters (who turn Josh into a pile of mush), Tommy lives in Sturbridge, Massachusetts with his wife, Carrie.
Bridesmaid: Sarah Corless
Sarah and I have been friends since those blessed middle school years. We played soccer together throughout high school and became close friends then. Sarah has the same sarcastic humor as I do and I love that no matter how far apart, we’ve managed to keep in touch. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without Sarah there with me.
Best Man: Jarrod Zywien
Clearly the best athlete in the family, Jarrod likes to toy with Josh in lopsided games of racquetball. At a younger age, Josh dominated Jarrod in athletics. That was, until Jarrod learned how to lift weights and gain speed. Suddenly, Josh couldn’t beat up Jarrod and run away. Since then, Josh has avoided arguments with his younger brother, instead opting to use him as an ally. Jarrod has spent the last four years making the transition into a southern, whiskey-drinking, country boy and has dominated the football field as a Centre College linebacker. Regardless, Jarrod has remained a moral crutch and Josh is proud to be having him stand up as his co-best man.
Bridesmaid: Stephanie Visotsky
Stephanie and I first met at a church summer camp when I was just a kid. We went to the same church and have stayed friends through moves and time apart during college. Funny thing- my mom was actually in youth group with Stephanie’s parents! Stephanie has been a great friend to me and I have always admired her. I am so grateful to have her in my life and can’t wait for her to be a part of my wedding day.
Groomsman: Evan Bollie
Clearly the “Dad” of the group, Evan was wearing suits at the age of three. He plans on what underwear he’ll sport four weeks in advance, and is stalling on proposing to his girlfriend because we’re not sure she’s even legal. Evan likes to pirouette to “You Spin Me Right Round” and is metrosexual with a touch of the ghetto. Most definitely the most responsible of Josh’s friends, Evan serves as moral, ethical and parental guidance for his much less mature group of friends. His girlfriend, Molly, is a fan-favorite, producing lingo like “bages and dels” and “brewski woosk.” He works and lives in Cincinnati, and is also a former member of Beta Theta Pi.
Bridesmaid: Nicki Freygang
What would this day be without hasha in the lineup? I met Nicki in college and have shared some of my greatest memories with her. We lived together for three years in school and she has become one of my closest friends. I always Nicki’s sense of humor and fashion (she did supply me with many outfits while at Miami!). Nicki has always been a great friend and no matter how far apart we are, we will remain close friends. This day just wouldn’t be the same without her by my side.
Groomsman: Jason Shaul
Jason “Jay” Shaul was one of Josh’s roomates in college, and a fellow member of Beta Theta Pi and Dirty Dodds. He is also engaged, and lives under the Law of Kat (which he’s okay with). Employed with his dad’s company in South Bend, Jay likes playing MonkeyBallz on gamecube and always looks like he’s on copious amounts of drugs. An avid Notre Dame fan, Shaul became a bandwagon Red Sox fan during the 2003 ALCS collapse, later consoling Josh over a few dozen beers at Skippers pub. Jay will be married in June to his fiancé, Kat, a wonderful elementary school teacher and group favorite.
Bridesmaid: Katie Vanke
Like Nicki, Katie has been a great friend of mine throughout my time at Miami. She was my roommate for three years and the amounts of memories I share with her from school are endless. Through all my experiences during the college years, Katie was always by my side. I have always loved her optimism and quirky sense of humor that we share. Katie never ceases to amaze me and I am so thankful to have her in my life. I am so happy to be able to have her by my side on my wedding day.
Groomsman: Scott Aulen
A hairy, Austin Powers-like beast, Scott Aulen can go weeks without showering or clipping his nails. Scott is also the comic relief of the group, often making uncomfortable, awkward situations into mind-numbing jokes. He’s adhering to the “Seal” theory, which applies to men who clearly overachieve with the women they date. Expect Scott and Amber (Scamber in some circles) to be the next couple to be engaged. The greatest intramural chairman in its stories history, Scott dedicated his college life to serving Beta Theta Pi. He currently resides in northern Kentucky, but spends most of his time in Oxford, Ohio with his wife, ah-hem, girlfriend, Amber.
Bridesmaid: Liz Piazaa
I met Liz my sophomore year in college through Alpha Delta Pi. I took her on as my little sister, but she became so much more. Liz was there for me through some tough times at Miami but we also have so many fun memories together. I have always loved Liz for her ability to make me laugh and can always count on her for honest advice. I can’t wait to have Liz with me on my wedding day.
Groomsman: John Cangany
John “Albino” Cangany almost missed out on Josh’s friendship. During their first meeting, on a trip to the bars, John arrogantly told Josh that they were heading “uptown,” as if it was a foreign area he was unaware of. Luckily, John was able to redeem himself and later served two years as Josh’s roommate. John is a skilled writer who hopes to direct and produce movies in the near future. He has promised to employ Josh as a stagehand on the set. John was yet another member of the greatest pledge class in Beta Theta Pi history. He currently lives in Indianapolis and works as a coffee connoisseur at Starbucks. He fantasizes daily what it would be like if the Colts could actually beat the Patriots.
Junior Bridesmaids: Lane & Paige Clegg
My little cousins/sisters! I held them as babies (and maybe dropped one of them!) and now they are so very grown up. I can’t believe how quickly time has gone by. With these cousins I have shared some of my favorite family memories. Lane’s witty sense of humor and Paige’s sarcasm always keep me laughing and I don’t know how I’d survive without them. I have always loved being “cousin Steph” and can only hope they realize just how much they mean to me. Lane and Paige have been like sisters to me growing up, and I am so excited to have them by my side on my wedding day.
Groomsman: Mark Driscoll
Mark Driscoll(e) is also of the hairy-beast variety, possessing the equivalent of an animal fur on his back. Mark began noticing hair loss on his head and hair growth on his back at the age of 10, and looks forward to a life full of hair-growth supplements. Mark also enjoys dating 29-year-old women and playing with his Star Wars figurines. He expresses excitement at the prospect of someday moving out to the East Coast to root for his favorite teams: the Yankees and New York Giants. Mark was a high school classmate and cross country and track teammate of Josh’s, and frequently dreams about what it would have been like to beat him. He currently lives in Dayton, Ohio and works for a car dealership.
Flower Girls: Lauren Lauder, Mia Lauder, Marianne Kenney, & Caitlin Kenney
We are so excited to be able to include some of our nieces in our wedding day! They are each so special and we can’t wait to see them all dolled up on the big day.
Groomsman: P.J. McCloud
PJ McCloud is a favorite of Josh’s sister, Michelle, and stands a Shaq-like, six feet, seven inches tall. A Wooooster College graduate and basketball standout, PJ looks back on his high school days with Josh in agony, reeling in jealousy over Josh’s storied track career. PJ spent four years chasing Josh in the 800 meter dash, finally, beating Josh in their senior year. PJ refuses to understand, however, that Josh simply let him win in order to boost his morale. PJ currently works at a bank in Dayton, Ohio and is dating a fabulous young lady name Landry.
